VibraTrim Review and Overview

Founded in 2007 and based in Washington state, VibraTrim is one of the earliest company that brought affordable whole body machines to the consumer market via online sales channels. Over the years, their product line evolved from the nimble single motor VT100, to the current full size 1300 watts, dual motor VT500 model. Being a small player in the whole body vibration market, they narrow their focus to customer satisfaction and providing selected machines in their product line up. With a current offering of 4 quality machines; the VT400, VT500, VT202, and VT202+1, their product line is broad enough to cover the mid and upper end of the consumer market. All the machines utilize Direct Current (DC) motors, which emits minimal EMF when measured 12″ above the platform using an EMF reader. This is very important feature as some people are very sensitive to EMF interference, and this low emission level is needed to provide a safe operating environment. All in all, a very good company that takes cares of their customers.
VT500 and VT500 Pro Review
VibraTrim VT500 is their top of the line whole body vibration machine tailored for the premium home use, chiropractors, and physiotherapist. The feature set is very good for a dual motor machine. The dual motor system provides two motions. The larger 1000 watt motor provides the oscillation motion (also known as pivotal, teeter-tooter). The smaller 300 watt motor consist of a spiral vibration (the motion is like a tornado movement as the platform spirals along the center of the platform, the motion feels like a strong cell phone vibration, one that is strong enough to vibration the lower half of your body!) With a 400 lb weight capacity, this machine is suitable for the majority of the population. The speed dial adjustment is great, allowing for rapid speed control. This is a big improvement over the VT400 model. Similar machine would be the Vmax Fitness Pulser and the the G Force G7. UPDATE: A Pro model is available that has its display updated to a more modern white and green surface-mount LED display like the Pulser 2. The rotary dials has been removed on this newer model to reverted back to the older button style operation. Speakers are now mounted in place of the rotary dials and can be used to play back music. VT400 Review
The VT400 and variations of this this machine carried by other brands has been in production since 2010. Although the exterior remains mostly unchanged, the internal components has gone through multiple revisions to become what it is today. The typical consumers wouldn’t know it, but we took back and taken apart various version of the VT400 machines due to various reasons. A version of this machine contains two black boxes inside the base to control the motors. Another version would have two exposed circuit boards instead of the black boxes. Another version would have two connectors going up to the upright column. Another version would have just one connector going up to the upright column…. This machine is older in design, and the usable platform is less than the VT500. Frequency range is smaller when compared to the newer VT500. Overall, at the sub $2000 price point, you can’t go wrong with this choice. There is a whole group of similar machine, such as the Lily’s TV Item Tri-Flex, the G Force G5, and the Vmax Fitness Trio. VT202 and the VT202+1 Review
For buyers looking for a portable solution, these two machines should be on your short list. If you live in an apartment, or a traveling fitness instructor, a portable machine is the way to go so that you can carry the machine around easily, or put it away when not in use. The VT202 is a 200 watt oscillation only machine while the VT202+1 is the dual motor version (200 watt oscillation + 200 watt spiral vibration) of the machine. Because of the smaller motors, the machine is good for users under 200 lbs, and with a good sense of balancing. Some customers wants to save a few hundred dollars by getting a portable machine versus the full size machine for home use, but I usual advise them not to go that route, simply because the motor power is not there to be used as a day to day machine. With these machines lasting over multiple years, a $500 price difference between a portable machine and a full size machine becomes less important. We are talking about paying $100 more per year for the full size, higher power machine, assuming a 5 year product life.
