Hypervibe G14 Home

The second unit from Hypervibe is the G14. It is virtually identical in terms of looks to the G10 Mini except it does weigh heavier and the specifications are quite a bit different. The G14 is about 88 lbs and supports users upto about 310 lbs, which is identical to the G10 mini. The machine itself is definitely not as portable as the G10 mini but certainly retains the slim build at just 6″ thick. The G14 produces a G-Force of about 14 Gs. It is the most powerful small sized oscillating machine you can get but I think it is more expensive than competing brands. Aside from the G force and frequency settings, and machine weight, the G10 and G14 are virtually identical.

The compact G14 is smaller unit that you can have in the office, the apartment or somewhere where space is limited. Being a compact unit, it actually does not compromise too much in terms of power as it produces a respectable 14 G of force. This unit weights about 88 lbs and can easily support users upto about 310 lbs.  The machine comes as a fully assembled unit, the only other thing you may need to install is the docking surface if you place it on a surface that is not hard and flat (think carpet), otherwise, the machine is ready to go once you remove it from its box.

The platform itself is large and wide and comes in at about 25 inches by 15 inches–even larger than its full sized brother the G17 Pro.  Users with larger feet won’t find it uncomfortable or finding their feet to be running off the platform when they are using the unit. Each platform is marked to show you the amplitude of where you are standing, the further you stand from the center, the higher the amplitude. It is marked as H M L L M H, where H stands for High, M Medium and L Low. When using the preset programs and exercises on a synced Bluetooth device, the program itself tells you which level to stand at. This is nice and convenient and definitely makes it easier for new users to begin learning to use a vibration machine to make sure they are using it properly.

One very cool thing with the G14 is that you can sync your Android or Apple device via Bluetooth to the machine using the Hypervibe App. In the app, you can select about 38 video programs that offer over 100+ exercises and follow the exercises on your tablet to properly use the machine. This unit is more advanced than other many others on the market and can intimidate some users that may not be comfortable with user a tablet or phone to control the unit. I think the learning curve is a little high but if you a more tech savvy than others, you will find this technology to be valuable. Luckily, a remote control does come with the unit and you can adjust the machine using it if you like, you just end up not being able to see the exercises physically when you are working out on your platform. However, some settings are not allowed on the remote control versus the app. The machine, via the remote control allows you to set a time setting of 30, 60, or 90 seconds. You can’t set it to another time setting unless you sync the G10 with the mobile device and change the time settings itself through the app. I find this to be a slight inconvenience as I sometimes just want to start the machine and quickly start with a 10 minute countdown to just do full body stimulation.

The hand straps are provided with the unit and you mount it to the platform by clipping the straps to the base of the unit via a plate that slides out. These are the stretchy type bands and vibration does not transfer to the upper body but rather gives a resistance type of workout. The stiff nylon straps are much more desirable for any vibration machine because they transfer the vibration from the platform to the upper body without you needing to go on the floor and putting your hands to the platform.

Overall, the Hypervibe G14 is pretty expensive given that it a compact machine. However, this price does give you one of the more powerful and technologically advanced compact platform style vibration trainer. The learning curve with using a tablet or mobile device with the machine might be a little steep for some users. It is unfortunately you cannot use the machine to its full potential without the app but the remote control will be just good enough if you know exactly what you are doing, and you are set to doing multiple exercises for a short 30-90 second interval setting.
