Vmax Q5

The Vmax Fitness Q5 is a pole-less, compact machine. The two motors driving the platform is 500W oscillation and 300W spiral for the 2014 model, which is an upgrade from the 300w/200w setup with the 2013 model year.  The vibration machine does not come with a pole but instead, a remote control. This gave me a lot of freedom as I can be watching TV and can point the remote to the control panel and adjust the speed without bending down.  The acceleration on the platform felt very similar to the larger full standing machines by Vmax, but it didn’t feel the same as that of the Vmax Trio.  The recommended capacity is less then 220 lbs, so it is not a good idea for a person over the weight limit to continuously use this as an everyday machine. One thing I loved about this platform was the pole-less design. I can do shoulder presses without having to worry about my head hitting the pole.  And as a bonus, I have never seen another machine (at least in North America) with a dual motor vibration system in a portable design, and if you have, let us know so we can write a review on it!

The vibration machine frame, driving mechanism, and platform are made of steel, the the none weight bearing case cover made out of 1/8″ ABS plastic. It is relatively light because of the pole-less design and moves around on the floor by itself if you don’t stand on top of it and you set a really high vibration speed. There is no compromise on how solid the machine feels after you step on it though, the machine provides great lifting power without bogging down under maximum load limit. The Vmax Q5 is very quiet, small, and compact and can be easily be stashed away under the bed or put in exercise rooms that don’t have too much space. The platform size is 20.5″ x 13.5″ and as a compact machine, is fairly reasonable. You can actually fully utilize the platform without worrying about the pole in the middle so it works out really well.
